This is a group purchase, not a shop. These terms explain what you are agreeing to and what you are not.
Version 1.2
The rest of this page says the same things more carefully. Where the two differ, the full text applies.
This batch is organised by Marina Gomez-Caro Gonzalez from Wageningen, contactable at Marina@iberiaimports.nl. In these terms, “we” means us and “you” means the person making the reservation.
We are buying one consignment of Cornicabra extra virgin olive oil from a mill in Yepes, province of Toledo, Spain, and splitting it between the people on the reservation list. The oil is from the 2025–26 harvest and is held in bulk at the mill until it is filled to our order.
Because it is one order, it only works above a minimum volume. That minimum is published on the reservation page.
A reservation tells us how much you would take. It is free, and it is not an order.
Neither of us is committed by a reservation. You may change or cancel yours at any time before the list closes, using the link on the page or by emailing us. We may also cancel the batch at any point before you pay, for any reason.
After the list closes we will email you the final price, a payment link, and the collection date and place. You then have until the collection day to pay.
A contract of sale comes into existence when we receive your payment, and not before. If you do not pay within that window, your reservation lapses and nothing further is owed by either of us.
Prices on the reservation page include VAT (Dutch BTW). They are our best estimate at the time and can change between batches, but never for an open batch that is presented on the website. We will never charge you a price you have not seen and accepted.
The price includes VAT and covers the oil, its container, transport to Wageningen and the handover. It does not include getting it home from there.
If reservations stay below the minimum by the closing date, or if the mill cannot supply, we cancel. We will tell everyone by email. If you have already paid, you get all of it back within 14 days, to the account you paid from.
There is no delivery and no shipping. The consignment is handed over in Wageningen on one announced date, at the place and time given in the confirmation email.
We would much rather give you your oil. Please just tell us if something changes.
Because you order at a distance, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of collecting, without giving a reason. Return the container to us unopened and with its seal intact, and we will refund what you paid within 14 days of getting it back.
A container whose seal has been broken cannot be returned, because it is food and we cannot resell it. That is the only exception.
The oil you collect must be of the quality you would reasonably expect. If it does not, tell us within a reasonable time of noticing and we will replace it or refund you in full. Your legal rights as a buyer are not affected by anything on this page.
Please look at your container before you leave the handover. Dents, leaks and mistakes are far easier to sort out there and then.
Olive oil keeps well but not indefinitely, and how it is stored matters. Keep it closed, cool and out of direct light. The best-before date is on the container.
Once the oil is in your hands, how it is stored is up to you, and we cannot be responsible for oil that has been left open, in sunlight, or next to the stove.
We are responsible for delivering the oil we described, in the quantity you paid for, at the time and place we announced. If we get that wrong, our liability is limited to the price you paid.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
We collect only your name, your email address and what you reserved. What we do with them, and for how long, is set out in the privacy statement.
We may update these terms for future batches. The version that applies to you is the one published when you paid, and we will keep a copy. If we need to change anything after you have paid, we will ask you first.
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
If something goes wrong, please email us first — almost everything is fixable that way. If we cannot resolve it, you can take the matter to the Dutch courts, and you have the right to bring it before a court where you live. A list of out-of-court consumer dispute bodies across the EU is maintained by the European Commission at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
